HIV in Humanitarian Contexts

This data-focused document note, co-authored by WFP and UNHCR,  shares a rich array of data from a study that was commissioned in 2016. The note quantifies the scope of people living with HIV in humanitarian contexts, highlighting in particular, the lack of treatment access many face in humanitarian settings. The information note also dispels a number of myths associated with people living with HIV have in emergency or refuge settings, while also touching upon key considerations that must be addressed to support the unique needs PLHIV face in humanitarian contexts.
